Under the supervision of the Sales Director, the Estimator is responsible for providing accurate pricing for all projects. This person works closely with suppliers and the sales department to prepare detailed cost estimates.

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Carefully read the technical specifications provided by clients and interpret the electrical and mechanical drawings of control panels.
  • Interact with clients, with the support of the salesperson, to fully understand project requirements and technical specifications, and when appropriate, propose the best solutions or alternatives.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers to obtain the best prices and validate the technical details of components.
  • Accurately estimate the cost of panels, installations, and complete projects.
  • Present the final estimate to the responsible person for validation before it is submitted to clients by the salesperson.
  • Prepare client proposals when the sales team’s workload requires additional support.
  • Create opportunities in the CRM system and file all client and vendor documentation in the appropriate network locations.
  • Ensure a clear and complete transfer of information to internal teams once the project is confirmed.
  • Participate in weekly sales team meetings and, when required, in certain project kickoff meetings.
  • Contribute to the optimization and automation of the estimating process.

Assets:

  • Strong knowledge of the automation or electrical field
  • Good understanding of CSA/UL standards
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position
  • Good knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code

Compensation:

Between 45.00$ per hour

 

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

 

Additional Compensation:

  • Overtime pay
